Climate science researcher passsionate about environmental causes. Currently an EU Marie Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA), specialising in using high-resolution and parameterised atmospheric modelling to study deep convection. Completed a PhD in science communication and machine learning.

Graduated with a Master of Engineering from Germany under full scholarship and worked as a data acquisition engineer at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN). Also worked as an editor and digital communication officer at Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders. Co-founded a company specialising in web services. Currently writes for and edits the Scientific Malaysian magazine. Speaks five languages (Mandarin, English, Malay, German and French), two dialects (Cantonese and Hokkien) and an avid reader. Also a musician.
