I am an engineer and researcher with a passion for data science and environmental causes. I previously worked at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) as a software engineer and for Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors without Borders as digital communication officer. I hold a PhD in science communication and machine learning.
I am currently a climate science researcher at the UNSW Climate Change Research Centre, specialising in convective cloud modelling. I love science, wine, and everything fine in life. I want to use science and technology to create meaningful impact in the world. I think written words are the best invention of humankind, followed closely by peanut butter and toast.
Always be suspicious of someone who is incapable of laughing at themself. One has to be able to appreciate that as sombre as it can be, life is also absurd and improbable, and the only way to get through it is with humour, grace, and humility. #SundayThoughts
